I felt on doing some public service announcements this week in the form of “actual bad” games you should avoid. The reason I objectively label these games as bad has nothing to do with the theme or gameplay mechanics. It’s the fact that these games are nothing more than fronts for NFT / Crypto farming. I have nothing against crypto in general; it’s not my cup of tea. But video games should be entertainment, and not a weird investment opportunity (or worse yet - a scam). It’s ok to like AI slop, as long as the AI slop is honest slop. We live in strange times, where people are becoming acutely aware of what they’re getting into, and that’s fine because it’s all mutual. Run Goddess was a game I recently tried “for the fuck of it”, and was pleasantly surprised it actually was completely honest in it’s advertising! I uninstalled it after a day of course (no gameplay hook), but I did so with silent appreciation of the developers having some form of backbone.
Music recommendation of the week is very upbeat and classic “80’s” vibe. If you find yourself listening to the soundtrack of “yesteryear” in particular to cheesy action flicks; this song might strike a nerve.
